Does anyone like to let a book rest for a couple of years and then re-read it? I have several favorites that I enjoy reading over and over. Dickens is a favorite one to read over and over. Not Dickens, no. Dickens is one of my favourites to put down and never pick up again ever, or preferably to not have ever picked up in the first place! Interminable twaddle, Dickens. I do have some that I like to go back to, though, sometimes because I just find them a 'relaxing read'. I tend to read quite alot of history books and the like, which can be quite heavy going at times, so I sometimes like to just fall back on something that is both familiar and very readable for a bit of a 'rest'. My favourite for that would be David Eddings - doesn't matter how many times I read his books, I still enjoy them every time, and every couple of years just get the irresistible urge to read them all again.

You don't like Dickens?? Oh, no.. You have to give him a chance, then you won't put it down and if you do, you can't wait to pick it up again. He is a bit heavy but you have to wade through the twaddle.. I guess you aren't a wader, huh?
Ahh, you like sorcery and wizardry.

I don't mind wading through a bit if there's something engaging and interesting in between, but I was forced to endure Hard Times in school, and it put me off Dickens for life! It was just unremittingly dull!

I know what comes next, boring words. lol.

What? No 50 Shades of Gray? Hear its the #1 request at Gitmo. Boring as hell, those books. I skipped to the dirty bits and ignored the rest. What a load of garbage. Hyped up something chronic, what a disappointment!
