Hello and welcome. Thanks for joining. The registration here sets everything to lower case for usernames, I guess may also stop punctuation marks being used, but you should be able to change your own 'Display Name' to whatever you want - you sign in with a username, but the display name is what shows up on your posts.
I know one or two people had problems with the captcha system on registration - it needs Java to be running to work. Unfortunately I have no control over that, and I hate those things anyway, but it does seem to keep the spambots out (so I guess it's a necessary evil).
Anyway, welcome again!

I couldn't register with it here for some reason and the video captcha was hard to navigate, anyone else have issues? Yep. The forum software wouldn't let me back in at all so I gave up and registered again. (Indofred - but couldn't access account so re-registered)

Hope nobody else has that kind of problem.

Just remembered - you should be able to change your 'display name' in your user profile, so it shows up as Indofred on your posts (your user name to sign in to the account with would still be fred). Let me know if you have trouble with that and I will change that for you.

As you can probably tell many of us are former moderators and this forum is really dedicated to what we believed to be the most important attributes of any political forum. Freedom of speech to express diverse political opinion while being respectful with those we disagree with politically. It all seems so simple and we know that we're forming a very good foundation as more like yourself join us.

Thanks I think its our responsibility to show up and be adult enough to keep our frustrations and anxiety's about our personal issues out of everyone else s business in the forums ( I try an do that so I don't make my issues an issue.lol). Thanks for everything, it hasn't gone unnoticed a lot of people appreciate what you guys did for us. Come over to and see us your welcome anytime.

Thanks for everything, it hasn't gone unnoticed a lot of people appreciate what you guys did for us. Come over to and see us your welcome anytime. I still post on other forums including PF and the Libertarian Forum where I'm a member but World Politics Forum has become my primary forum as I always come here first in the morning.
Here is what I would ask of you. Invite someone you know from another forum to join here. It is preferable if you choose someone that has political opinions opposed to your own because a forum is about debating and discussing political opinions with people that you disagree with. That's what makes a good forum work.
This is "Our Forum" so it's up to us as to whether it succeeds and grows or dies a slow death fading into history. We need to be proactive in making it a success first by posting our opinions and also by promoting it to others.

Let me know if you have trouble with that and I will change that for you. Fred is fine and so much easier to type if you're as lazy as I am. It's also my name of choice; I only signed up on the others as Indofred because they wouldn't let me sign up as Fred.

( why is there a minimum word count?) Just to stop people from posting 'I agree' or '*love* off' (and I still like the way I've set the *love*ing profanity filter, to make all that nasty *fairy dust* from those abusive *teddy bears* sound so much nicer!) kind of posts that don't add anything to a debate! To be honest, it's one of the options I really like here - I find the normal character count limit used in most systems isn't any use when it comes to helping to encourage people to post something a bit more useful than that in political debates, because people can just go 'xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx' or '10 char' to get past it - this way I think it does encourage people to think about actually writing a sentence (which will hopefully give others something to discuss). It's only a bit of a minor nuisance sometimes in the off topic sections, and I think it's worth it for that. It's easy enough to get past in those circumstances anyway by posting a few random words that don't matter where it doesn't matter, if you see what I mean!

I am still trying to figure out where to post a response??? I know it has to be below the boxed post I quoted on, correct. This is mainly a test. I like having more than a 10 Character limit but no everyone is as long winded or as knowledgeable as many of you here. I am one of those folks...haha. It feels good just knowing some of the folks here.
