A 28-year-old man wants to sell one of his kidneys to settle hospital bill for his ailing sister. Vincent Ochieng' Dock, a motorcyclist in Kisumu said they are orphans and cannot raise the fee.
Speaking at the Star offices in Kisumu yesterday, Dock said his younger sister, Lilian Akoth, aged 11 was hit by a motorcycle in Migori town four months ago.
She has been bed-ridden since then. "Akoth was in the company of our grandmother when she was knocked down and has been admitted at Ombo hospital in Migori since then," Dock said.
He said his sister has developed medical complications on both legs. "Her legs are supposed to be amputated," Dock said. He however appealed to well wishers to help his family raise the funds to avoid selling his kidney.
