In the same way I treated the death of Margaret Thatcher, I wish him well with his recovery. I vehemently disagreed with him on many, many things, but that's politics, and I think it's sad when people lose sight of that and lapse into personal hatred and inhumanity on the basis of political disagreements, especially when it concerns a politician who is no longer in power.

It's never a time to be mean-spirited. Regardless of what we felt about them politically.....

Of course, I wish him well. You can question Bush's methods but not his intent.
I believe the question is not always whether they are still in power, but how that power affected you personally and may still affect you. For example, I have nothing but contempt of FDR, and he died long before I was born.

Hope he has a complete recovery and can live a very peaceful life without being blamed for the shortcomings of other politicians.
