Study: Young people better off not enrolling in Obamacare
5:20 PM 08/15/2013
Millions of young Americans could save money by simply paying Obamacare penalties rather than buying insurance when the controversial health-care law is implemented in 2014, according to a new study.
In 2014, millions of single, childless Americans between the ages of 18 and 34 will be better off paying a $95 individual mandate penalty or one percent of their income (defined as a “tax” by the Supreme Court) than buying insurance, according to the study.
Approximately 3.7 million people in that age group “will save at least $500 by paying the penalty rather than buying insurance and more than 3 million people will save at least $1,000 by simply paying the penalty, according to the study.

Houston, Obama Care's got a problem. A major blow out in the folks that will pay a lot and use a little. Obama Care depends on this pyramid scheme to help fund itself. The Obama administration is going on the campaign trail to convince young folks to join the exchanges. Really?
Unemployment for 20 to 24 is as follows; Men - 14.1% and Women - 10.8%.
Unemployment for 25 to 34 is as follows; Men - 7.7% Women - 6.5%

US / Employment for 20 to 34-year-olds fell more than than among all workers over age 35 combined

The latest numbers from 2013 reveal no significant change in the trend. Without policy targeted to the needs of young adults, we risk a generation marked by the insecurities of the Great Recession for the rest of their working lives.
....when the labor force shrank by almost half a million workers last month, more than two-thirds of those who left were under age 35. Maybe they knew what was coming, since employment for 20 to 34-year-olds fell by 117,000 jobs in March—greater losses than among all workers over age 35 combined.

These are the folks The Obama administration expects to pay a lot and use a little to float Obama Care? They seem to have forgotten one important piece of that equation, they need to have jobs and decent paying ones in order to buy Obama Care.
Anyone struggling by to pay their bills on part time work is NOT going to be buying Obama Care regardless of how it's sugar coated, especially the young and healthy. They will however, resent terribly having $95 stripped from their income tax returns. That fine only goes up in following years as their income stays the same or goes down.
