Without consulting the U.S. Congress who are the only ones who can declare "war," Obama is gearing up to lob some cruise missiles over to Syria. He wants to make sure Britain is with him; but could care less about the U.S. people. So, he's doing this as an act of revenge over the use of chemical weapons which killed some women and children.....but how many women and children might be killed by these missiles? AND what's more, this does NOT get their chemical weapons stockpiles!! I'm not sure I get the point here......other than flexing muscle and acting like a big shot.
"In Washington, few in the administration doubt that military action will occur. U.S. military sources tell Fox News that the planned military operation would include cruise missiles and possible long-range stealth bombers but will not target Syria's chemical weapons stockpiles.
"There is no way to 'surgically strike' Syria's chemical weapons stockpiles" without boots on the ground, a source said.

It appears I'm not alone in my opinion on this:
"A new Reuters/Ipsos poll has finally found something that Americans like even less than Congress: the possibility of U.S. military intervention in Syria. Only 9 percent of respondents said that the Obama administration should intervene militarily in Syria; a RealClearPolitics poll average finds Congress has a 15 percent approval rating, making the country’s most hated political body almost twice as popular."

The apparent aggression from the West is due to chemical attacks and isn't US specific. So why the empty whine about Obama? Sounds like party politics taking to its most silly extreme

Are you saying the cruise missiles are coming from the French maybe? Do you support this? Or is your main concern just protecting Pres. Obama from criticism?

Don't you think this subject, given the events that have occurred, deserves better than whinge and whine about Obama cos you don't like him?

So, lets see now.....we could criticize Bush all day long, but Obama is off-limits? Is that about it? Who is being political here? He's prepared to do this without UN being on board and without consulting the U.S. Congress. Excuse me....but I'll borrow a quote from former Senator Hillary Clinton's screaming rant where she said she was SICK AND TIRED of being criticized for criticizing the president. ......I will criticize this president or any president whenever I feel like it.

In 2007, Barack Obama was asked when presidents have the authority to launch a military strike without congressional authorization. He had a precise answer at the ready.
“The president does not have power under the Constitution to unilaterally authorize a military attack in a situation that does not involve stopping an actual or imminent threat,” Obama told the Boston Globe.
Back then, the target in question was Iran, and Obama was a first-term senator running for president against the excesses of George W. Bush’s foreign policy. But the statement stands in stark opposition to Obama’s view now. The Obama administration is on the cusp of intervening in a Syrian civil war that by all accounts does not pose an imminent domestic threat to the United States. And Obama appears set to unilaterally authorize punitive strikes against Bashar Assad’s regime.
It would not be the first time Obama acted outside his own previous definition of presidential war powers. In 2011, with a bloody conflict escalating in Libya, Obama authorized the U.S. to join an international coalition that established a no-fly zone in order to stem the threat of mass slaughter. Obama argued the intervention was justified.

I'm sure you'll criticise this president no matter what. Try waiting for what he does and how it differs from the rest of the developed world. At the moment your "Obama, what a git" looks particularly poor when these countries are reacting to chemical attacks. I find your party politics particularly pathetic. Show some class!
