Over 70% of Romanians believe their EU voice doesn't count

It is always surprising to me when "people" believe their voice matters when it comes to government entities created by government entities.

The EU was created by the government's of the respective member nations and not by the "People" of any of these nations. Why would the EU care about the "will of the People" that it doesn't represent. It represents the controlling political parties of the member nations and they rarely if ever even represent the will of the people that are associated with that political party. Political Party agendas and the "will of the People" are not closely tied together.   

We see the same thing here in the United States where the federal government was created by the States, not by the People (even though the US Constitution misrepresents that fact) so why would the Federal government care about the "will of the People" when it has no actual responsibility to do so? It represents the political agendas of the two major Political Parties and not the political will of the People. It never has and never will. 

So why should the EU be any different? The primary interests of the EU are to cater to the power elite that control the member nations and never to cater to the wishes or desires of the average person living in those nations.
