www.bbc.co.uk/news/education-23970281'Disappointing' for parents, too, no doubt! Teachers do seem to have a habit of striking over the years, though, and I'm not sure that they should take such action as readily as they seem to, especially when the economy is such that the rest of the population aren't so confident of their job prospects. It seems like they are always resistant to any kind of educational reform, too, which may not be the best thing for education in general - obviously there is a case for saying that there should be greater consultation, but if the consultation always results in 'don't do it or we'll strike' then what can the government do?
