Who were the "Russian journalists" that supposedly heard the comments? If this is being reported in the Russian news then what is the foundation for the statements.
Of course Great Britain, long since stripped of it's colonial empire, is a relatively small island nation (ranked 78th in land mass of nations) of only moderate political importance today but that's a whole different story.

It sounds as if Cameron has Russian friends - probably related to the billionaires who are buying up London and paying for the tory party!

As opposed to former Russian friends who were buying up London and paying for the Labour party? Must be them who are paying Milliband to sabotage it by driving out all the working people I suppose. I can't see much other point, and Bliar has taken up the billionaire after-dinner circuit already.

What has anyone made up, though. The UK IS a wee spot on the bum of the elephant in the world, but is trying to pretend it is a big suppurating plook! I'm surprised it has taken so long for other countries to notice that the UK is more important in the mind of UK politicians than in actual fact.

But where would the tory party be without the turkey strut? If you live in the past, you can not only have an imaginary Empah but behave just as squalidly as people did back then.
