I've been telling you all that Obamacare website is going to be a hackers wet dream. Turns out I was correct. www.foxnews.com/tech/2013/11/19/healthcaregov-already-compromised-security-expert-says/This minute there is a hacker who can make the 'front page' of the site actually spin on-screen when someone clicks to open the front page. Tens of thousands of attempts have already been made to hack into the site. Like the IT expert testified: paraphrasing "Hackers can and will steal your personal information when you use the site. " He also said the security fire-walls that ought to have been the first code written didn't happen. I wonder what hundreds of thousands of tech-savy young people who are being forced to buy something they don't want nor need are going to do? A: Not vote DEM in 014/016 or B: Decide to 'work' their financial records so they won't have to buy the plan or C: Decide to pay the 1% fine for not signing up. It should only take the IRS about ten years to track down this potential criminal or D: All of the above.

Well, they have Navigators on video tape telling them to just lie about their income so they'll get a subsidy. That's what some will do. But the more astute people who actually care about their personal information being in the hands of possible criminals, will not sign up. I say "possible criminals" because there are NO background checks done on Navigators.....so no one has a clue if they are criminals, have a record, or whatever. Companies wouldn't do this.....because they'd be sued if someone stole information and they were negligent in setting it up. But the federal government will do it......because they can.

So tens or thousands of attempts to hack the site so far and not one case of actual hacking having occurred has been documented.
Obviously no website accessible on the internet can be hacked. Even DOD websites have been hacked in the past. In truth only a small percentage of American will even use the healthcare websites for Obamacare. Most are covered by Medicare or Employer provided group insurance in America and will never have any need to access the site at all.
I'm far more concerned with the NSA spying on me than being concerned about the potential for a hacker committing a criminal act. The NSA is spying on all of us and that is a far greater threat to the Rights of Americans than what any hacker can do related to our medical records and/or insurance policies.

You wait until the 'Employer Mandate' expires (conveniently in 2015 in stead of 2014). Obama tried to hard not to have the full negative impact on the voters in 2014 but by the midterms all those employees who will have their lives turned upside down b/c of what pretty much every employer will do to avoid Obama's tax grab will know what's coming their way. Gee I wonder how many will vote LIB? It's moot now anyway. This time next year Obamacare will have vanished like a popcorn fart in a wind storm. Then later so will have Obama.

The provisions of the PPACA have absolutely nothing to do with the potential for the health insurance exchanges (or any website) being hacked. Can't "conservatives" stick to the subject of a thread or is that impossible for them to do?
I'm not sure that any government website hasn't been or can't be hacked today. We certainly know that many have been in the past as it is very difficult to prevent hacking by determined experts in computer technology.
Simply stating that the health insurance exchanges can be hacked is sort of a "DUH" type proclamation IHMO as that can be said about any website. Show me any website where I couldn't make the same stupid claim.
This thread is basically founded on a stupid criteria and any website can assumed to be "hack-able" by computer hackers.
I'm far more concerned with our government hacking like the NSA hacking Google accounts than I am of the potential of a single person hacking the health insurance exchange website. A person finding out information about us doesn't represent even a small fraction of the threat that our government spying on us represents.
