Problem with the Quote and Font Size

I've been having problems with the Quote function that didn't exist when the forum first started. Currently to get it to work properly it only works in the Edit mode and not during the original Post.

I also have a problem with Font sizing because when I try to change the font size the cursor defaults to the beginning of the post. If I'm quoting another post I can't apply it to just the new text I'm adding.

Don't know if you can do anything about this or even it it's me and not the system but it's annoying. I work around the Quote problem but gave up on trying to change the font size when quoting another post.
