In my opinion, your comment is nothing more than a sad, petty, and dishonest interpretation of a straight forward (and accurate) comment made by our President. The stupidity of too many Fox addicts is well documented. I was, however, expecting a lot more from you. And, why post exactly the same OP in two forums? Do you need the support of Obama haters EVERYWHERE? So sad! Different forums, different responses. None quite as useless as yours, though *Obaaaaama*

Fox News is the only major voice of Conservatives... not just Republicans, Conservatives. And yet mouth breathing liberals would like to shut it down. Exactly when was it that lefties decided to fight to kill free speech? When his majesty Barack took office? As long as libs have ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, CNN, etc., Fox News will exist. Obama's mission is useless... like the minions who kiss his boots. Yes, I know that Fox News is the only major voice of Conservatives but that is not why I'd condemn it.
As most know I do extensive research on issues that concern me. Whether others agree with me or not the fact is I cite sources for my arguments and I used to watch Fox News. As a Libertarian I there is a very distinct "conservative" (not social-conservative) streak as well as a very liberal (not progressive-liberal) side to my beliefs. The first thing that gets my attention as to whether I need to do more research is if a news story presents conflicting information. Over time I found that Fox News was only presenting one side of an issue as if it was the "gospel fact" when it really wasn't. On other news networks they presented a much more unbiased review that lead me to investigate the real facts. Let me provide an example.
While I didn't see the show on Fox that would have reported this I'm sure they did. The Republican lead House voted to strip billions of dollars from the SNAP (food assistance) program. Did Fox News also report that in the same bill the Republican House authorized tens of billions of dollars in corporate welfare to the agricultural industry? This corporate welfare goes straight into the pockets of the multi-millionaires that own the agricultural industry in America. At least with the SNAP program the money goes first to the person in need, next to the retail outlet, then to the shipping and distribution system, and eventually to the farms increasing consumption and providing jobs. When it goes straight to the multi-millionaires it doesn't create any jobs but merely increases their bank accounts. Once again I can't swear as to what Fox News reported because I don't follow Fox News but I seriously doubt that they presented this whole picture or even hinted at it.
Other news outlets, like HLN, did address the "Farm Bill" presenting a summary of what was in it that was passed by the House Republicans which is what lead me to look into the issue more. I wanted to know the facts related to the legislation. Knowing Fox News they just the "social-conservative" spiel that "unworthy Americans" were stealing from the government and we can save America by cutting off part of their food supply.
There is one final comment I'd make. As noted about Fox News is mouthpiece of the "conservatives" but then "conservatives" consider any news outlet that presents a balanced approach to the news as being a "liberal" outlet. Now I'm taking about news reporting and not opinion programs. Fox News edits it's news reporting to only reflect the "conservative" side of the news while omitting virtually anything that would contradict it. In short Fox News censors facts that would dispute their "opinion" programs. Fox News is "conservative" in both it's Opinion Programming and its News Reporting.
I've not found any other network that does this. They might have "liberal" opinion programs but when it comes to reporting the news there isn't a liberal or conservative bias. The don't censor the news but Fox News does.
To my knowledge there are no "Liberal News Reporting" broadcast networks although some have "liberal" opinion programs. I'm concerned with the NEWS more so than the OPINION because the news should present a summary of the facts and not censored reporting which Fox News demonstrated to me.
Bottom line I come up with the following conclusion based upon News Reporting which I watch.
Fox News = Conservative All Other News Outlets = Independent

just as predicted- the 'but but but MSNBC...yada yada yada ' talking point was brought up; but all one really has to do is remember that not only did FOX endorse grampa & gidget in '08, they hired the media whoring hockey mom as a talking head to get her stellar views on the socialistmarxistfascistcommunistkenyanmuzlem prez oh don'tcha know? that tends to put it all in perspective when reading the views of those that defend such a 'news' outlet don't it? <wink-wink hand wave>

Once again I'll point out that I don't really care about "opinion programming" on a news network. I watch for the news and want the news to report on all sides of an issue. Fox News tends to censor it's news reporting so that the actual news doesn't conflict with their "opinion programming" while other outlets do not.
Censored news reporting is the problem I found with Fox News which is why I consider it to be an unreliable source for the news. That's why I don't watch it anymore. I haven't found that to be the case with other news outlets such as CNN that reports both sides of a story as opposed to only one side of the story.
Basically "conservatives" seem to express the belief that a news outlet that doesn't censor the actual news for political reasons is a "liberal" news organization.

The point is... our president has a very powerful voice. For the same reason it would be unpresidential to declare his fav breakfast cereal, it's very unethical for him to slam a TV station he doesn't like.
This president has no class. He's bullied his way thru so far, blaming everybody but himself for his shortcomings.
Hopefully his mention of Fox News will backfire and bring them even more viewers.

The topic is Obama attacking Fox News. What on earth does CBS have to do with anything? Did George Bush ever attack CBS?
Obama is like a schoolyard thug... using his office as a bully pulpit.

Isn't it amazing there's only ONE major conservative news outlet but even one is too much for libs. the fact you know it's conservative bias should be your clue as to it's a form of brain washing it's the worse possible form of news that can be produced...

Obama is the POTUS, not Bush. Catch up, darlin. While Fox "News" is still a propaganda machine and not a legitimate news source so nothing has really changed.
When Fox News stops censoring it's news reporting it will have legitimacy but until then it will simply remain a propaganda machine misinforming Americans and brainwashing conservatives. I don't even know how intelligent conservatives can watch Fox News and actually suspect that they don't.

fox news is like getting your news from the national enquirer..
it's designed to excite ... divide america with moronic editorials .
why would a Canadian Conservative government try their best using CRTC rules to not allow the propaganda to dumb down canadians via television.
fox news had to fight to get on our airwaves and won...
