By 'you' I mean folks who express unfounded accusations against a cable news station, like ,'yellow journalism' while confirming they think their fellow Americans are too stupid to make up their own minds. Unfortunately, this time the term 'you' does indeed include YOU. The evidence that Fox News has been a propaganda machine for the Republican Party in it's news programming goes back for at least a decade based upon my personal knowledge. Of course I've never implied that only stupid people watch Fox News but instead would question anyone's intelligence that trusts Fox News when it comes to reporting news of political importance.

As soon as I see you post something serious, I may change my mind about your leanings. So far I've only seen silly and I always equate silly with lefties. oh dear. your opining matters not either; & that is exactly what it is . & please, i am sure some of my stances that i listed isn't silly at all to you.... you're from texas. guns matter... border issues matter...texas is a death penalty state ect.... however, i see how you have glossed over them as well as the unrefudiation about fox's tactics, because i disagree with you about newscorp's baby . when faced with reality, one CONveniently forgets said reality & i could hear as you put your fingers in your ears & sing LA-LA-LA, LA-LA-LA to make the nasty talk go away. that some amusing stuff from you- thanx smarty

The evidence that all the mainstream left-wing news sources are nothing but propagandists for the left goes way back decades and decades. However, Fox News has more than just Republicans watching it. Just look at the ratings and you'll see who wins hands down. They have good debates and discussions because they always have someone from the right AND the left there to represent their point-of-view. Many of the liberal so-called news is nothing but their talking points from the White House that they received when they got to work that morning. And they are mad as hell that they no longer have 100% of the news market. Ahhh.......too bad.

I'm sure you have proof of these ridiculous accusations. A link to the study showing Fox News is a mouthpiece of the Republican Party BY A RELIABLE SOURCE will suffice. Now I will agree FN leans conservative. But once upon a time, there were actually conservative Democrats. Now there's no such thing. Moderate is rare as hen's teeth. They're all screaming liberals. Oh, BTW.. did I mention Wendy Abortion just announced she's running for gov of Texas on the Dem ticket? Good for her, assures Dems won't control this state for at least another decade.

Once again I'm not referring to "opinion" programming where I've also seen other news outlets that have members from the "left" and "right" involved in discussions but instead I'm referring to the actual reporting of the news. Nor am I even referring to the general news being reported such as natural disasters or human tragedies because Fox News is very good at reporting on these events.
My concern is with Fox News reporting of the news that has political significance.
I can refer to an anecdotal case where, during the Bush administration, the White House released an allegation as if it was a fact about Iraq. The Bush press secretary at the time repeated that allegation verbatim in a press conference at the White House. Other news outlets reported it as being an allegation being made by the White House, which was accurate news reporting, while Fox News read the exact same statement verbatim as if it was a fact and not an allegation. Fox News didn't even cite the source as being the White House. Once again though I don't have a link to the source because it was many years ago but I do recall that, along with a lot of allegations being made by the Bush administration related to Iraq, it was false.
This political bias became more evident in recent years where every news outlet except Fox News was reporting the "birther" movement as being a conspiracy theory because it was. From day one there was never any foundation for questioning that Obama was a natural born citizen of the United States. His COLB from 2007 that was physically verified as being authentic by FactCheck.org in 2008 confirmed that he was born in Honolulu in 1961 and his birth in Hawaii, when it was a state, established his natural born citizenship under the 14th Amendment. Every news organization except Fox News exposed that the "birthers" were a bunch of conspiracy nut cases while Fox News continued to treat people like Donald Trump as if they had a creditable case.
That pretty much turned me off to watching Fox News because when it came to the reporting of news of political significance I couldn't trust Fox News to do that in an unbiased manner. Today I don't rely on any individual news source nor should anyone. I like to gather the facts.
For example some news sources did report that the recent House legislation to cut millions of people from the SNAP program but cutting funding by about $5 billion also included many tens of billions of dollars in corporate welfare going to multi-millionaire agribusiness owners in the predominately Republican farm states. Why is the House giving tens of billions of dollars to wealthy farm owners while cutting off small food subsidies to the poor trying to put food on their tables? Remember that the same farm owners still profit from the consumption of the food purchased by SNAP recipients but they only get a "fair" profit on those purchases while the farm subsidies go straight into their pockets without any middlemen.
I don't know if Fox News reported this or not because I don't watch Fox News. Perhaps they did but I doubt it because it would be highly damning of the Republicans in the House. Perhaps one of the Fox News watchers can tell me. Did Fox News report that while cutting off SNAP funding to millions of poor Americans that the Republicans in the House were also giving tens of billions of dollars directly to wealthy farmers in their home states?

This is your OPINION, Shiva. Not based in fact, but rather emotions. I don't have problem with FN presenting political news with a slant to the right. If I want to watch political news with a slant to the left, I'll watch MSNBC. How come you don't mind if they're biased?

If I want to watch political news with a slant to the left, I'll watch MSNBC. How come you don't mind if they're biased? Emotions related to the news? Seriously. What is there to be emotional about?
I also seem to get the feeling that there is a lack of distinction between "news" and "opinion" in the last statement. The "News" is not supposed to be opinionated while "Opinion Programs" are exclusively about expressing opinion. The problem I've seen with Fox News is that it censors it's "News" programing to support it's "Opinion" programing. Fox News will not report news that contradicts it's opinion programing and that is a real problem. That makes it a propaganda machine as opposed to a legitimate news outlet. I've not noticed this with any other media outlet that all appear to be able to separate "News" from "Opinion" in their broadcasting.
Perhaps some "conservatives" can't make a distinction between "News" and "Opinion" and if that is the case then there really isn't much hope for them. Those people would be little more than brainwashed political puppets.

Without examples of what you're accusing Fox of doing, we'll just have to downgrade your accusations to opinions. Personally, I can't see how a news report about a hurricane in the gulf can be slanted... which is FN leading story tonight. Sounds more like jumping on the anti-FN hysteria wagon than actual facts to me. One of FN's commentators had this to say about the President's recent attack on FN. Although no company should have to defend themselves against a public attack by the POTUS, I'm glad to see someone at FN stood up to Big Brother. Not a wise thing to do with this president... but he hits the nail on the head. Fox News isn't responsible for Obama. Obama is responsible for Obama.

Newsflash: there is plenty of "opinion" in the liberal news programs too. Perhaps you need to watch them all. At least Fox News is fair. As evidence of that FACT is that I don't always agree with what they are saying. So, if a conservatives doesn't always agree with them, then they must be doing a pretty good job of presenting the news.
