You are not addressing 'bottom line' which is: Mandating AKA legally forcing some one to buy something they do not want is unconstitutional. America was founded on the principle of 'freedom'. 'Freedom' means everyone is free to purchase insurance or not. The Affordable Care Act does not force anyone to purchase insurance but it does impose a "tax" (penalty) if they don't and that is Constitutional according to the US Supreme Court's ruling last year. And so you are willing to give Bush the same pass? Not bloody likely IMO. Anyway. Obama applied for the job knowing full well he had zero experience. He applied believing there was no way he'd get the nomination over Hillary. He did it out of 'hubris' and the attempt would for sure get him a 'tenured' teaching job at Harvard. The joke was on the American people unfortunately. "If you don't buy this you'll be fined" sounds like blackmail/coercion to me. If the Government fines someone does that person then have a criminal record? Do you go into the IRS's little Black book? That would be interesting. Hundreds of thousands of young healthy people with criminal records. I wonder how many of them will be voting LIB in 014/016?

How can you possibly know? And when you look at the Republican madmen, obviously no sane person would even kick them for fear of infection. By the time Obama packs up his golf clubs and Camels his approval number will be near 30%. He only has nine points to get there. Esra Kline wrote today that it was actually Clinton's fault that Obama had to lie. Let the West Coast verses East Coast DEM civil war begin! HA HA! The least best kept secret in the DEM party is the fact that the DEM civil war within the party has been going on for years and it's about as bloody politically as the war between the Bloods and the Crips But, I say again, who but madmen would vote for the other lot?

How can you possibly know? And when you look at the Republican madmen, obviously no sane person would even kick them for fear of infection. A problem for any president is that they're performance is often judged based upon that which they have no control over or aren't involved in.
For example President Obama was judged negatively for the terrorist attack on Benghazi that he really had nothing to do with. The President doesn't make decisions on security arrangements at specific outposts where the US has a presence. That role and responsibility is delegated to someone else. Even the "talking points" after the attack didn't originate in the White House or even the State Department but instead originated with the CIA that was trying to cover up the covert nature of the Benghazi outpost that had no actual diplomatic functions to begin with.
President Obama's number are also dropping because of the political obstructionism in Congress by House Republicans. No matter what the President proposes the "Tea Party" House Republicans are against it and block it. It's not like Americans aren't aware of this which is why the approval rating of the "Tea Party" Republicans is really in the toilet even when compared to Obama's declining approval rating.
The President can't control the votes of Congress but he is still held accountable by the American People for the failures of Congress. That doesn't imply that the American People are ignorant of those actually responsible though because we see where the blame really falls based upon the political opinion polls that address all of government.
I find it difficult to believe - despite so many right-wing posts that suggest national mental breakdown - that the American people are really quite that stupid.

Let's summarize the objections to Obamacare (to the best of my recollection).
1) Obamacare depends upon private insurance that establishes a large pool to mitigate the costs of those that would require expensive health care services regardless of whether they're young or old. Republicans apparently oppose private health insurance since 2009 but endorsed it prior to then.
2) Criminals will commit fraud or hack the government website.
3) Individuals are mandated to either obtain insurance or pay a tax penalty that would be used if they suffer a serious illness and can't afford the cost of the health care services they require.
4) Republicans are advocating that young people not purchase private insurance under Obamacare that may even be covered under Medicaid that doesn't cost them even one dime or where they can probably obtain highly subsidized insurance costing them very little out of pocket and instead that they should pay the tax penalty
5) Predominately Republican states have refused to expand Medicaid that would provide free health care insurance for people that can't even afford one dollar to spend on health insurance because they don't believe these people deserve quality health care.
6) Republicans should not address the problems that the American People will have to endure because Obamacare was a poorly crafted law that requires fixing and that the Republicans of the House are almost certainly going to block any proposals that would reduce or eliminate these problems for the American People. In short the Republicans are saying, "Screw the American People because we don't give a damn about them anyway." Is that fairly accurate? I know I left out a lot but I believe I got the above correct.

They were stupid enough to vote in someone based solely on the color of his skin. Now only 39% thinks he's doing an acceptable job. Most now know he's a habitual liar. He has ruined the DEM brand . He turned out to be nothing but a 'charismatic' trying to earn his Communist/Socialist daddy's approval. I find it informative that the LIBs who voted in this idiot would make every excuse in the book for his failure. (Frankly, I'm thinking most of them didn't honesty expect too much from him in the first place) but that's not for now IYKWIM

That's right Reps HATE the poor and the sick and women, don't forget the women and they don't give a damn about the American people in general. Apparently about half of the American voters do not hold your opinion/s. So IYO the 39% of people who approve of the way Obama is running the country are the true lovers of America and what it stands for and the rest who disapprove "don't give a damn about the American people". Interesting. What are you? Like twelve? Yeah Obamacare was "poorly crafted" all right. It took over three years and over 600 million bucks for the no-contract bides that were handed out to Obama's cronies to demonstrate that. Today a few of these morons sat in front of a hearing and each one of them claimed the problem had nothing to do with them. As usual, in LIB-Land no one is ever actually held accountable. LIBs learn this at their mothers knees.

(Frankly, I'm thinking most of them didn't honesty expect too much from him in the first place) but that's not for now IYKWIM WOW, whether intentional or not the first sentence is not only false but extremely racist.
President Obama has been elected twice because he was the lesser of two evils for the American People to basically choose from. Realize the both Democrats and Republicans seem to dig from the bottom of the barrel in selecting their respective candidates for president but apparently the Republicans have a deeper barrel than the Republicans because they've managed to come up with worse candidates than Obama in 2008 and 2012 (and, to clarify, I voted Libertarian in both elections).
Yes, Obama's approval rating is at 39% which isn't stellar but it only represents a decline of about 13% from his approval rating based upon the 2012 election. I don't disagree with that because it is fairly close to what my opinion of Obama would be based upon the issues. He's good for America about 40% of the time and bad for America about 60% of the time based upon issues of importance to me.
At the same time I don't disagree with the approval rating of Republicans in Congress that is at about 22% because that also reflects my opinion of them related to the issues. The Congressional Republicans are good for America about 20% of the time and bad for America about 80% of the time.
I believe that the "approval ratings" of Republicans, Democrats, and the President are very reflective of what they're doing good for America and what they're doing that's bad for America. As we can note in all cases they're doing more harm than good based upon the opinion of Americans and it's only a question of how much harm they're doing which is also reflected by the poll numbers.

"Don't think anything of it Mr. President. Your approval rating only represents a decline of 13% from last year." Yeah right. LOL "There's a Nigerian Prince on the line for you. He wants to offer you a special rate on health insurance. You need to have your Connecticut SIN ready".

"Don't think anything of it Mr. President. Your approval rating only represents a decline of 13% from last year." The President should be concerned because the Approval Rating is reflective of the good that his policies and agenda are for America and anything below 50% reflects that he's causing more harm than good.
Of course no polls are more accurate than an actual vote and President Obama was elected by 52% of the popular vote if I recall correctly but we must also understand that the choice was between Romney/Ryan and Obama/Biden and both were horrible choices for Americans to choose from. Obama/Biden were only about 3% "less bad for America" than Romney/Ryan based upon the actual vote.
At the same time Republicans need to really be concerned about the dismal 22% Republican Congressional approval rating which is far worse than the President's approval rating. If the President is bad for America based upon his 39% approval rating then Congressional Republicans are disastrous for America based upon their 22% approval rating.

www.pollingreport.com/cong_dem.htmFor your bed-time reading. Approval for Dems in Congress is going down. Now only 35% approve of how well the Dems in Congress are doing their job/s. Not much to cheer about. Try reading my prior post where I condemned the Democrats, Republicans, and President for all doing more harm to America tha good as reflected by their approval ratings. We can summarize that based upon the polls.
President Obama actions cause harm about 60% of the time while his actions are only positive for America about 40% of the time.
Congressional Democrats actions cause harm about 65% of the time while their actions are only positive for America about 35% of the time.
Congressional Republicans actions cause harm almost 80% of the time while their actions are only positive for American slightly more than 20% of the time.
America has a serious problem with all of them as they are creating far more harm to America than good and the approval rating numbers reflect that fact as well as how much each is harming America.
My position is that the only way to stop the harm being done to American is to stop voting for either Democrats or Republicans. Simply replacing a Democrat with a Republican or replacing a Republican with a Democrat doesn't stop the harm each is causing.

I really wish you stop with using poll numbers to extrapolate such ridiculous claims that when some ones poll number is say 40% that means that 60% of what they are doing is "harm" to the country. It's frankly stupid. It means that 60% of THOSE POLLED!!!!!!!!!! disagree with that politician's position on a given policy etc. 'If your ludicrous claim was remotely logical then the moment Obama's poll number dipped below 50% he was in your opinion doing more harm than good for the country. How dumb can you be? What are you? Like twelve? I'm out of here. Nothing but a twelve year old putting up garbage trying to keep their site alive.
